Founded in 1890, Fairmount is Denver's second oldest cemetery and, as such is the final resting place of many of Colorado's most prominent Pioneers--men and women like William Newton Byers, John Wesley Iliff, Florence Rena Sabin, Henry Moore Teller, W.A.H Loveland and David H. Moffat.   Designed by German landscape arcitecht, Reinhard Schuetze, the layout incorporates sweeping vistas in broad curved lanes thus creating a beautiful and serene park like setting.  The peaceful, well maintained  285 acres offer families of any religion or walks of life a dignified surrounding in which to honor  the lives of loved ones who have passed.

Built in 1890, The Ivy Chapel is both Fairmount's signature and a Denver landmark.  In addition to the Ivy Chapel, Fairmount also has three other chapels; the Mausoleum Chapel, the Chapel-in-the-Pines and the Mortuary Chapel.  All chapels are non-denominational and can be dressed for any type of service. With an onsite flower shop. mortuary, crematory, monument shop and four chapels,  Fairmount can offer all your services in one location.
